A fantastic example of a British Iron Age coin.
The Iceni were a British Celtic tribe to the east of England (modern day Norfolk, Sufffolk and Cambridgeshire) during the Iron Age and early imperial Roman era. Famously known for their Queen, Boudica who lead an uprising against the Roman armies, although unsuccessful they managed to destroy Camulodunum (modern day Colchester). A feisty and courageous leader who put the Romans to the test!
Softness to areas else graded as almost Very Fine.
Boudica is remembered for being a symbol of freedom, justice and courage.
