A small British Indian trade coin from the Madras Presidency and a type coin of the Australian Proclamation series.
Known as the “Star Pagoda’ due to the reverse design. This coin was chosen to form part of the Australian Proclamation with a face value set to Eight Shillings by Philip Gidley King the Governor of New South Wales in 1800.
