The 2013 Mint Set, produced by the Royal Australian Mint, includes six coins struck to uncirculated condition. For the second consecutive year, the Mint released a ‘special edition’ uncirculated set, featuring a coloured coin struck using hyper-metallic printing technology, in this case, the 20-cent piece. Consequently, collectors welcomed the continued use of this innovative technique, finding it both exciting and encouraging, as it highlighted the Mint’s commitment to artistry and contemporary design.
