International Year of the Family
Produced by the Royal Australian Mint and comprises of six coins struck to brilliant Uncirculated finish. In 1994 the United Nations declared it to be International Year of the Family. The Royal Australian Mint held a nation-wide competition inviting members of the public to design a commemorative Fifty Cent relating to Australian life and the importance of family.
This set contains the commemorative Fifty Cent designed by Carolyn Rosser depicting a family as would be drawn by a child and the United Nations symbol for the International Year of the Family to the right.
