Attractive York Penny of Henry VI, ecclesiastical issue under Archbishop John Kemp struck in York.
Lightly toned, with areas of flat strike however boasts a bold portrait of the king on a large flan. Graded as good Very Fine, a nicer example of a scarce issue!
The Latin abbreviated legend translates as “Henry, King of the England” and on the reverse “City of York.”
