51-30 BC Ptolemaic Egypt Cleopatra VII & Mark Antony Bronze Unit – aVF & Rare
A fantastic example of this very rare issue
Featuring double portraits of both Cleoptra & Mark Antony.
Both sides well centred with bold portraits, even brown patina, few light surface marks else about very fine for issue and rare!
Mark Antony illegitimately “bestowed” a number of territories in the east on Cleopatra, including Chalkis in 36 BC, which were added to her royal dominions. These coins of Chalkis were dated with both the Egyptian and Phoenician regnal years of Cleopatra.
