Struck when Constantine had the title Augustus and was Emperor of Rome.

A bold example with striking portrait of Constantine, dark chocolate even tone. The obverse well centred, the reverse cut a little short, however a very pleasing example.

Flavius Valerius Constantinus

Constantine I, or also know as Constantine the Great, was the emperor or Rome from. 306-337 AD, and become Rome’s first emperor to covert to Christianity

He was born in the city of Naissus in the province of Dacia Mediterranea (modern day Niš, Serbia). Born to Flavius Valerius Constantius “Chlorus” a Roman army offer, who later became emperor and to whom Constantine succeeded the title from. His mother Helena (Flavia Julia Helena Augusta) a greek born in the lower classes, who was later known as Staint Helena or Helena of Constantinople.
