WWII, trench art ashtray, crafted from the base of a 25 pounds artillery shell then finished in chrome.
Stippled engraved, around the edge ‘A I F / EGYPT / 1942’, in the centre of the ashtray is a white metal kangaroo.
Impressed on the base is, ’25P/LJI/2228/RLB/E71 (with two arrows, one up one down)/1941/?F’,
A nice souvenir from Egypt of good weight, in nice condition with minor age related wear, graded as Very Fine.
