A fabulous high end piece of tapered oval form, the hinged oval lid inset with an oval bright-cut inlay engraved cartouche, opening to reveal a glazed compartment enclosing plaited hair work inset within the under side of the lid.
Condition: Very Good (-), stress fractures to reverse and minor damage to bottom of shell, however does not deter from being a fantastic display piece and due to the nature and dark colour of the material hard to notice at first glance.
