Flavius Valerius Constantinus
Constantine I, or also known as Constantine the Great, was the emperor of Rome from 306-337 AD, and become Rome’s first emperor to covert to Christianity.
He was born in the city of Naissus in the province of Dacia Mediterranea (modern day Niš, Serbia). Born to Flavius Valerius Constantius “Chlorus” a Roman army offer, later becoming emperor and to whom Constantine succeeded the title from. His mother Helena (Flavia Julia Helena Augusta) a greek born into lower classes, who was later known as Saint Helena or Helena of Constantinople.
